European Flyball Championships 2010 Logo
Two days ago saw the hosts of the European Flyball Championships publish the divisions of the 3 day tournament on the EFC website. There will be 12 divisions this year at the championships and 3 teams will be representing the UK in division 1. Good luck to every team who is competing this year!

Another Crufts qualifer has been held at Hatchford Brook which saw Warrington Wizards win the qualifer with the current champions Nuneaton Titans gaining the second spot to also secure their place at Crufts in 2011.

The bar is raised in Europe

10/05/10:

News has come in that the European record has been broken again in Belgium. The belgian team the Jolly Jumpers ran a 16.29 at Wilhelminadorp in The Netherlands taking the European and national record from the Brugge team; K-otic Flyers who ran a 16.36 last year. The question is can any UK team get near this new record?

Moving closer to home saw the first Crufts flyball qualifer held at Nuneaton. Northants Opsreys won the qualifier with Molten Magpies gaining second. Both teams will be going to Crufts in 2011. Cambridgeshire and Hinckley qualified in the YKC flyball which was also hosted by Nuneaton DTC. Congratulations to all 4 teams.

Updates

23/04/10:

Firstly, apologies from all of us at Flyball Fever for the lack of updates recently; it has been a busy time for all of us. To update everyone on the latest flyball news, in brief:

  • Congratulations to Nuneaton for winning the Flyball at Crufts 2010, and hence becoming "Crufts Flyball Champions" for the year. Congratulations to all teams that took part, it was a particularly significant year due to it being the first time the "Crufts box" wasn't used.
  • Congratulations to Live Wires for setting the pace for the year, by kicking off the season with a 16.70s at Drax!
  • Finally, another huge congratulations must go to High Flyers' multibreed team, High Variety, for smashing the multibreed record. Making an amazing multibreed debut, the team of Floss (X), Tanner (WSD), Millie (JRT) and Tye (Australian Shepherd) for setting an amazing time of 16.95s at Carlton Towers.

Good luck to all teams for the summer season and look out for some exciting new developments coming very soon to Fever!

At the weekend in Münster, Germany saw the DogLive show take place. There was Flyball also going on at the show which saw a new polish record being set. The Unleashed Alphas became the new national record holders when they ran a 18.17 seconds against the belgian side Bandits. Huge congratulations go to the team.
