Rescue
Many rescue dogs have gone on to become great flyball dogs, of all shapes, breeds and sizes! So while you're looking for your next dog, why not give one of these dogs a second chance, and a loving, flyball-filled home.
This section was set up in September 2009, when Battersea Dogs and Cats Home contacted us to tell us about all of the wonderful potential flyball dogs they had up for rehoming, and asked if we would feature some of the dogs on the site. We gladly said yes, and you can see dogs from Battersea below.
Flyball Fever are not responsible for any of the dogs featured below, please contact the rescue in question if you wish to know more. Remember that taking on another dog is a huge responsibility, and most rescues will expect you to undergo a home check. Rescues get new dogs in all the time, so keep checking this page or contact the rescue.
The Rescues
Every year thousands of dogs are put into re-homing shelters usually due to no fault of their own. So if you are interested in getting a new dog maybe you could offer a great home to one of these rescue dogs.
Spot
Spot is a one year old Collie cross male who is currently at our Brands Hatch site. Spot could be a great candidate for Flyball as he has bundles of energy, loves playing ball games, is keen to please his handler and is typically a clever dog. He does have a sensitive side so new owners should appreciate the need to allow Spot to settle and establish a bond. We are looking for experienced owners to re-home Spot who have preferably previously owned an active Collie type and are knowledgeable of the breed traits. Spot is best suited to live in a semi rural/rural environment as he will need good levels of stimulation both mentally and physically and good facilities for burn offs. Spot could live with children aged thirteen years plus who are sensible and perhaps willing to get involved in training him. He could live with another dog with the right match. If you are looking for an active dog to have fun with Spot could be the one!
